Angela Meeks

Website Manager, Graphic Designer

            The youngest daughter of two immigrants, Angela Meeks grew up in Stockton, CA as a first-generation American. With both a European parent and an Asian parent, she was raised with an outlook highly influenced by a diversity of cultural influences and differences.

 

            She graduated from San Joaquin Delta College with multiple A.A.’s in Communications and in Fine Arts and from Christian Life College with two B.A.’s in Bible and Theology and in Media and Communications.

 

            She is known in the Stockton community as an award-winning photographer and printmaker, a former member artist of Art Expressions of San Joaquin under the leadership of Arturo and Ana Vera, a former leader, published poet and artist with The Writers’ Guild of SJDC under club advisor and mentor Paula Sheil, a former editor for the literary and art magazine now known as Artifact Nouveau, an early supporter of Tuleburg Press and The Write Place, and a spoken-word artist alongside Stockton’s Poet Laureate, Tama Brisbane, and AGT winner, Brandon Leake.

 

            In 2018, Angela married her husband, Ben, and they help to raise her two teenage nephews with her mom. At Christian Life Center, they serve in the Media and Spanish Ministries. At KYCC, she is the Website Manager and helps with Graphic Design and Event Photography.
