Theresa Schaad

Mid-Morning Host

Theresa spent her childhood in Michigan, loving the Great Lakes and the "real seasons." In high school she worked at her campus radio station, WCHW, never knowing it would prepare her for the ministry that awaited her. She moved to Stockton in 1983, where the Lord saved her as a young adult.

She started at KYCC in 1989 as a weekend and overnight volunteer host, and after stints as host of various time slots, became the Morning Show host in 2005 and recently transitioned to the Midmorning Show. She also helps with assorted programming and production duties. Theresa enjoys getting out to concerts and various events where she can meet and talk to her listeners.

She and husband Jim are parents to Josselyn and Nathan, both in their mid 20’s. She loves being a wife and mom, and successfully home schooled her kids a total of 14 years. She is quite talented in the kitchen and enjoys cooking, baking, and experimenting with new recipes. (The KYCC staff can attest that her jams and pies are the best!) She also enjoys gardening, reading, and sewing, as well as outdoor activities such as hiking, archery and camping.

When asked for her favorite scripture, she replied, "Revelation 4:11, 'You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.' It reminds me that I am created for God's pleasure and to do all I do in the light of bringing Him glory daily."

Asked about her favorite thing to do, Theresa replied, "Watching a sunrise break forth over the horizon, when the mercy of the Lord is brand new each morning."

Spoken like a true Morning Host.
