Daybreak & Weekend Host
Marcella was born and raised in Stockton and, except for six years in the 1990's when she lived in Las Vegas, has been a lifelong Stocktonian.
As far back as she can remember, she was always interested in becoming a barrister, and took several classes pertaining to the law. However, she eventually became a full-time bookkeeper and accountant.
In 2006, she joined KYCC, working in Donor Relations, but always had an interest in working on the air. That opportunity presented itself in 2009, and now she is the host of Daybreak from 3:00-5:00 a.m. weekdays, as well as Weekend Celebration on Sundays from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Marcella has a heart for Christian media communications, and serves as the Media Coordinator for Christian Life Ministries. In August 2011 Marcella began teaching Communication classes, with a focus on faith and media. She is on track to graduate in May 2013 with her BA degree in Media Communications at Christian Life College.
Marcella also loves to travel. "Each trip is a new adventure to explore God's earth that He alone created," she said. "I've been to Israel, France, Japan, Germany, and Mexico as well as several states."
Her two favorite scriptures are Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy path," and Revelation 17:14: "...for he is Lord of lords and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful."
She and her husband Chris have one daughter, Hannah. "I have been abundantly blessed with a godly husband of 20 years and a daughter who follows hard after God."
